What is NEXT?
NEXT is our annual exhibition bringing together artworks by HSC Visual Arts students from schools in the Liverpool LGA which will be on exhibition from Tuesday 7 April – Sunday 19 July 2026 at Yellamundie Gallery at Liverpool City Library/Yellamundie. This exhibition offers a unique opportunity for the community to witness firsthand the artistic achievements of the NEXT generation—and a glimpse into the future of Australian art.
What is the NEXT Prize?
The NEXT PRIZE is a $500 cash award and will be given to one outstanding artist from the NEXT exhibition. This prize is selected by the Liverpool Powerhouse Curatorial Team and honours an artwork that demonstrates exceptional technical skill and conceptual depth.

If you would like your school to partake in NEXT 2025 please nominate your HSC Visual Arts students for the exhibition.

- Nominations Open: Wed 17 September 2025, 10am
- Nominations Close: Tuesday 25 November 2025, 4pm. ENTRIES NOW CLOSED.
- Schools notified of successful student entries: Tuesday 10 February 2026

Please note that nominations are only open to nominations from teachers of HSC Students attending schools in the Liverpool LGA. Exhibition Launch
You are invited to the launch of NEXT, our annual exhibition showcasing artworks by HSC Visual Arts students from schools across the Liverpool LGA. The launch will take place on Monday 18 May 11am – 1pm. Places are strictly limited, please RSVP to the NEXT launch by Friday 08 May, 5 pm.
